Gabriela Contreras joins MRHC as a parttime Nurse Practitioner with experience in Family Medicine and Urgent Care across the Chicagoland area. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, Gabi (pronounced Gah-b) is committed to supporting individuals and families across all stages of life with a personal, compassionate approach. Born and raised in Chicago, she enjoys cooking, spending time in the sunshine, watching movies, and making memories with her family.

Sava Patel joins MRHC as a certified Physician Assistant. She brings a strong passion for preventative and holistic care, with a focus on supporting children and families through every stage of their health journey. Sava is committed to fostering a warm, welcoming, and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their care. She values building meaningful relationships with families and empowering them with education and support. Outside of the clinic, Sava enjoys spending time in nature, trying new baking recipes, and making memories with her four sisters and cousins.

Dr. Pierson earned her medical degree from Arizona in 2022 and completed her pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. With a background in international development and sociology, she takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on preventive medicine with an emphasis on culturally mindful care. Dr. Pierson is dedicated to serving a diverse patient population and building meaningful relationships with patients and families, with special interests in newborn care, infectious disease, asthma, headaches, and community medicine. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, recently visiting Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok to learn about pediatric infectious disease in Thailand. We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Pierson to our team!
Sheli Ruffer joins MRHC as a Dance Movement Therapist with a specialization in somatic therapy. She holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in dance from the University of Michigan. Sheli has a deep belief in the body’s wisdom and movement as a gateway to transformation and brings warmth, presence and professional care to every session. Outside of work she loves reading, laughing with friends and family, and spending time with her dog Dodi.
Tehilla Dubin is a mental health therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults to strengthen emotional regulation, build self-esteem, and foster a greater sense of calm, clarity, and confidence. She holds a master’s in social work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work and is passionate about creating a supportive, down-to-earth space where clients feel safe to explore, grow, and be themselves. Tehilla takes a person-in-environment approach, recognizing the impact of one’s surroundings and experiences on emotional well-being, and helps clients navigate those influences with greater insight and clarity. With a blend of compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, she empowers clients to connect with their strengths and move forward with purpose. Outside the therapy room, you can usually find Tehilla cooking for her family and friends or playing with her dog.
Clara Treadway joins MRHC as a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She holds a master’s in music therapy and counseling from Drexel University, where she completed the majority of her clinical work in behavioral health. Clara looks forward to collaborating with her fellow creative arts therapists and the rest of the MRHC team. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, playing violin in orchestras and practicing yoga.
Dr. Alban Fisher has joined the MRHC Behavioral Health team as a Psychologist. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology and has received specialized training in family systems. Dr. Fisher brings valuable experience working with youth in foster care and residential treatment settings. His clinical background includes providing and supervising individual, family, group, and milieu therapy. Outside of work, Dr. Fisher is a longtime fan of Bob Dylan and baseball—and he’s still holding out hope for a White Sox comeback!
Shainy joins MRHC as a Mental Health Therapist. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law, and Justice. Shainy brings a deep-rooted passion for supporting the emotional and behavioral health of children and families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her six children, reading, writing, and exploring new learning opportunities. Shainy is excited to make a meaningful difference in the lives of MRHC patients and the broader community.
A board-certified pediatrician with over two decades of experience, Dr. Cathy was the founder and managing partner of Kids First Pediatric Partners in Skokie before selling and leaving her practice in 2023. Dr. Cathy earned her medical degree from Rush University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She is deeply committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team.
Jessica is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and registered art therapist (ATR) who specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and their families. She began her career at Asian Human Services where she provided individual therapy for children in Chicago Public Schools and group therapy for adult immigrants and refugees. Later, she joined Compass Health Center’s Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs as a Child Group Therapist. Outside of work, you can find her biking, drawing, or practicing meditation. All in all, Jessica is passionate about harnessing creativity and mindfulness to foster resilience and well-being.
